The session “Development of Heat Pump Technologies in Russia: Constraining and Motivating Factors” will be held in the framework of the Business Program of the ARWE 2019 International Forum on Renewable Energy on May 23. A co-organizer is the C.O.K. Journal, an information partner of the Forum. The session is devoted to development of the heat pump segment in Russia and support of producers, installers and consumers of heat pump equipment within renovation of existing buildings and enterprises and construction of new energy efficient facilities.
“The use of RES is destined to diversify Russian energetics and to update it completely in due course. Currently wind activities and a solar power segment are developed at a good bat. However development of renewable energy in Russia can’t be called completely well-balanced. A clearly “stumbling” heat pump area of focus is a vivid example. While thousands of heat pumps are installed abroad, such projects in our country are yet to seek. There are many reasons: a high price of energy commodities, ignorance and sometimes even disinterest of local decision makers. Unfortunately, a serious role is also assigned to negative opinions of consumers who have already suffered because of obvious charlatans trying to build business in such a promising segment. A heat pump sector has a great potential, but still a lot needs to be done to realize that potential. At the session “Development of Heat Pump Technologies in Russia: Constraining and Motivating Factors” we are going to speak on objectives and solutions of problems in the emergent market of heat pumps, Russian and international experience in this field,” Alexander Gudko, moderator and speaker of the session, a Member of the Committee for Challenges of RES Use, Russian Union of Scientific and Engineering Associations, Editor-in-Chief of the C.O.K. Journal, commented.
Key speakers of the session are Vladimir Sidorovich, Director of the Information and Analytical Center “New Energy”; Alexey Zhikharev, Director of the Renewable Energy Development Association (REDA) and a VYGON Consulting partner for implementation of renewable energy projects; Vadim Dormidontov, Vice President on Energy and Utilities, Gazprombank JSC, and Alexander Gudko, Editor-in-Chief of the C.O.K. Journal.
Representatives of a banking sector, core businesses, regional authorities dealing with energy development issues and other specialists will take part in the discussion.
